default
Posted on Tue, 5 Sep 2017
Question: Hi. I'm a generally healthy female, mid thirties. I've been experiencing urinary pain, increased thirst and urination, kidney pain, nausea, and feeling generally unwell. In the past, I've been hospitalized for kidney infections. I went to an urgent care clinic, and was given a shot and oral antibiotics. However, they just called and said my culture was negative. I still feel horrible.

Brief Answer:
Need to rule out Kidney stone

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Increased thirst ,dysuria, pain in kidney area, nausea are strongly suggestive of stone either in kidney or Ureter .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Renal function tests .

In the mean while start taking Cefexime and Nitrofurantoin and anti spasmodics like Cyclopalm twice daily .

Further treatment will depend upon results of these tests and final diagnosis .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
