What Causes Nausea And Vomiting Before Periods?
Pregnancy possible on Duphaston
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I understand that you were on Duphaston (Dydrogesterone) which is a synthetic progesterone, used to treat a variety of conditions including menstrual disorders and endometriosis as in your case. It is still possible to become pregnant even on Duphaston if you are sexually active on the fertile days of the month. With the initiation of pregnancy, the blood levels of a hormone called Beta HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin) rapidly increases, doubling every 2 to 3 days. It also comes out in the urine and is detected in the urine sample that you tested for pregnancy. It is also known to cause nausea which is causing you to throw up. So, all the things are still falling into place if you are pregnant.
In case you do not believe the results, you can get your blood HCG levels tested after a few days and repeat the test after a few more days. If the test result is positive and the level doubles in the next 2 to 3 days, you can be sure that you are pregnant.
In case you are not willing to go forward with this pregnancy, there are medical methods which would help you to get over it. A combination of misoprostol and mifepristone would medically help in terminating the pregnancy, if you want. But please be sure to take it only under the guidance of a gynecologist as it can cause uncontrolled bleeding. Please do not worry. A qualified gynecologist will be able to help you to safely overcome the situation if you are pregnant.
Both are equally effective
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking back.
Both the medical method as well as D&C is equally effective and you can go for whichever option your doctor suggests after assessing your case. If I were to opine, I would definitely have chosen the medical method (pills) as it is much less hazardous.
If you found my answer helpful, please leave a positive review and a 5 star rating on the answer. Wish you to be promptly able to get over the situation.
