What Causes Nausea, Headache And Low BP?
I came home from my trip on Monday night around 1am. I had sex with my wife. Tuesday afternoon she feels nauseated and has a headache. Her blood pressure happens to be low. It has been low (80/65) since Sunday. She still is nauseated and has a headache. Any chance this could be related to catching something since it is so soon and what is the real risk of the encounter since I am obviously remorseful and stressed about it. Full anonymity is required. Thanks.
No chance of any sexually transmitted infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.
I can understand your concern for the possibility of any sexually transmitted infection after the incidence of protected intercourse with stripper.
After reading your complete query, interpreting the information provided with diligence I reassure you fully that neither you nor your wife have any type of sexually transmitted infections.
It is just coincidental that your wife has various health issues just after 5 days of this incidence. There si no correlation of your incidence with present situation of your wife.
Let me tell you certain important facts related to your incidence:
To tell you medically -
- Your intercourse was protected one with condom. In my clinical experience I have never seen spread of any sexually transmitted infection after protected sex.
- Academically speaking protected intercourse prevents most of major sexually transmitted infections.
- There is no any sexually transmitted infection in this world which is manifested in the form of nausea, headache or fall in blood pressure.
- None of the sexually transmitted infections gets transferred so quickly and gets manifested in above symptoms.
So do not worry, just take care of your wife properly and ask your treating physician to rule out any other cause of all the symptoms. Do not give a second thought to any sexually transmitted infection in the causation of present problems of your wife.
I promise on the part of our forum that full anonymity will be maintained through out the discussion.
Hope the information will relax you, if you have any further query I will be happy to help.
"Wish you good health and early recovery of your wife's illness"

The only concern I had reading things on the internet was that a Condom is not foolproof against Herpes (or even HPV) even though it may reduce the risk. I assume the risk is low because even with skin contact, I would have to have some open cut in the area (which I don't) to transmit anything, correct?
But I guess it makes sense that no symptoms would appear so quickly in my wife (within 24 hours).
Should I get myself tested based on this encounter? It seemed low risk and did not last long and the stripper appeared very careful. I took a hot shower within 5 minutes afterwards.
Thanks.
No need of testing sexually transmitted infections
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome again and thanks for your follow up.
Let me again reassure you that there is no possibility of herpes or HPV. To tell you certain important facts related to herpes:- Herpes manifest itself as multiple closely placed small vesicles (fluid filled blisters) which remains for just a day or two and then forms ulcers which are quite painful. These ulcers then heal in next 5-7 days. In you I can make out that no such symptom is present matching with the above symptoms.
There is no any accompanied symptom of nausea or headache as in your wife. So you can relax for the rarest possibility of herpes. There are certain literatures saying condoms are not full proof surety of protection from sexually transmitted infections- it basically is related to proper or improper use of condoms by the person. All these cases are basically related to improper condom use – meaning either to use in the beginning and then not using throughout the complete act or condom break or condom slip.
In your case complete and proper use was done. In my clinical experience as well as academically speaking it never results in any type of sexually transmitted infections.
As per my experience and clinical knowledge I don’t find any logical reason for testing sexually transmitted infections of any type. I firmly reassure you that both you and your wife are completely clear from the part of any sexually transmitted infections.
Hope the information will relax you, if you have any further query I will be happy to help.
Wish you good health
