Posted on Tue, 25 Oct 2016
Question: I started to take trintellix 10 mg because there is no weight gaining. I quickly learned to take it with food because of vomiting. I still am somewhat nauseous. This symptom is associated with common reactions to this drug and also as part of a more serious syndrome. How long should I wait to become concerned? My email address is YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
Mostly it goes down in one month

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Trintellix is an antidepressant which has multiple side effects and among them gastrointestinal are most prominent. Feeling of nausea and vomiting is one of the common side effects and definitely helps when taken along with food.

In others these gastrointestinal side effect decrease over time and most patients have no GI side effects on passage of one month or so. In case side effects remains there are two choices.

First stop the drug if it is not associated with any benefit.

Second use antiemetic along with medication provided there is relief in anxiety and depression.

I hope this helps you .
