What Causes Nausea Post Lunch And Occasional Mild Headache?

default
Posted on Thu, 20 Aug 2015
Question: Everyday starting at roughly 1-3 pm I get horribly nauseous. It's been lasting about 2 weeks now. No vomiting but feel weak and almost sick for the rest of the night. Sometimes wake up feeling it still but mostly it is gone in the morning. I eat regularly throughout the day. And have no other symptoms other than a mild headache occasionally. I'm a 25 year old female 5'3 120 lbs. I know I'm not pregnant and im currently nursing. I've always been a super healthy person so this is strange to me. Any advice would be awesome.

Brief Answer:
some investigations are needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that you might be having gastritis. I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined and investigated.
Following investigations may be helpful :-
1. Endoscopy.
2. Liver Function Test ( LFT ).
3. Ultrasound of abdomen.
You can take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg.
Avoid spicy and oily foods.
Further medical management can be planned according to the clinical evaluation done by your doctor and according to the reports of the above mentioned investigations.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help. Thanks.
