Question: Hi, just want some advice i have had nausea and cramps and direa for thenlast 3 weeks. I went to the toliet today and it was watery black direa

Black stool may be due to different factors: (1) blood in the stool from the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract- the blood changes appearance as it passes through the bowel and appears black in the stool
(2) medications such as iron replacement supplements or pepto bismol if you use either of these
Both can cause black stool

If you use either of the medication then one of these is the likely cause. If this is not the case, then you should consider seeing the doctor for an assessment which include physical examination and a stool analysis to the lab.
