Brief Answer:
Vomiting is due to Microdox. Need ultrasound
Detailed Answer:
Hello, XXXXXXX
I can certainly understand your concerns.
Microdox is known to cause nausea which can lead to vomiting.
It's important to get an ultrasound scan of abdomen to rule out major organic abnormalities before confirming it as IBS.
Further I would like to know if you're mother is a diabetic or on any other medications.
Post your further queries if any.
Thanks

hello doctor
thanku for the guidance. No she is not diabetic but is hypertensive and takes covamlo once a day.Yes,barium was done as CT scan report was not clear due to some fault in the machinery so, barium was done after ct scan.blood tests were done (.HB8.5)
ultrasound was normal (complete abdomen).Barium suggested the following:
-Diffusely slightly thickened mucosal folds in jejunum and illeal &terminal illeal loops
-normal i.c junction
-malabsorbtion?
-inflammatory acteology?
she is stressed due to the sudden accidental death of my husband(her son in law)last year in august.about 6 months after this she fell ill
now there is no fever though,no pain,no blood in stools(not earlier also)but shez getting weak due to loose motions and is scared to eat normal food .this problem is persisting for more than 3 months now.Her weakness is worrisome .sometimes shez fine for a week.but then again motions recur 4-5 times a day.medicines not working. What to do?
regards XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Possible Celiac's disease?. Need further work up
Detailed Answer:
Hello, XXXXXXX
I can certainly understand your concerns.
I apologize for the delayed response owning to my work schedule.
Her symptoms are more likely to point to a Malabsorption disorder like Celiac's disease.
This is evident on barium meal and also low hemoglobin.
She require a definitive diagnosis and cause for Malabsorption. For this following tests are mandatory.
1.Upper GIT Endoscopy for biopsy.
2.Serum electrolyte study.
3.Serum lipid profile.
Further management if any is based on test results.
The weakness in her case is due to Malabsorption.Stress might not directly contribute to her symptoms.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
