default
Posted on Wed, 13 Sep 2017
Question: My husband has been sick since this past Saturday. Started with nausea, vomiting. That seems to have subsided. But now complains of headache. We thought symptoms were from bad Chinese- Friday evening. Also had/has runny nose. has been drinking gatorade, soups, jello, crackers the whole bland diet. Could this be a sinus headache or infection?

Brief Answer:
Dehydration or sinusitis induced

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am. I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns.

The headache is not likely to be caused by an infection as your husband is not experiencing any elevation of body temperature (fever)..

This headache could be due to dehydration as a result of the vomiting, so please make sure that he is drinking enough fluids daily (at least eight cups). Or this headache could be due to sinusitis which can be relieved by an antihistaminic as Cetirizine 10mg once daily before going to bed..

I hope I answered your question.
