What Causes Nausea With Upper Stomach Pain?

Peptic Ulcer Disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome again to Healthcare magic..
This can be due to functional dyspepsia or peptic ulcer. I am not sure if you have tried any antacids or acid suppressing medicines for this. If you are relieved with antacids you most probably are suffering from acid peptic disease. Since this has been for long time it is prudent to get it examined thoroughly. I would suggest you should see a Gastroenterologist who will probably do an Upper GI endoscopy to look for a peptic ulcer. Depending on what he finds on endoscopy, he should be able to prescribe you medicines that should help you.
You should also take a deworming medicine.
Other probabilities are Pancreatic disease or hernia that cause vomiting
Things to avoid: coffee, tea, mint, alcohol, spices including heavy curry, hot peppers, carbonated beverages, tomato. Foods that make you feel better are usually alkaline type, such as milk.
For the other question, yes, they can heal on their own but chances are lower since acid is still there. My professional advise is to get tested for a bacteria named Helycobacter pylori (related to ulcers) and if positive patients in such situation take a two week course of antibiotics; if negative, then you could certainly benefit from the most effective medication for peptic ulcer, called a proton pump inhibitor, like omeprazole, pantoprazole, lansoprazole, etc, which completely block the production of acid in your belly and allow that ulcer to heal.
