Thanks doctor,
I just have 1 query.. this Levepsy, Oxcarb 300 when taken together can it cause sodium deficiency? I have low bp since past 2 days. 90/60 or 105/68.
I hope there is nothing to worry..! Im very tensed about it. is it normal? Oxcarb 300 thrice a day is right medication?

Brief Answer:
Oxcarb can cause hyponatremia.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
Oxcarb alone can cause hyponatremia(sodium deficiency). Levepsy has no role to cause hyponatremia.
Oxcarb is usually taken as twice a day dose. You can discuss it further with your treating physician. 105/68 is not a big cause to worry, just try to maintain good hydration. If you are having low sodium levels, Oxcarb may be playing a role and may need alternative therapy or dose adjustment. This should be discussed with your treating doctor.
Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

How many times i mean frequency should I check the sodium level while on this medicine?

Brief Answer:
Its still in the normal range.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
Even 136 is in the normal range. Its likely that if your sodium levels are maintained in the normal range, they will be normal in future as well. There is no need of frequent monitoring. If any symptoms of hyponatremia are there, then sodium levels can be done.If there are no symptoms, it can be done every few months.
Hope that helps. If you have further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.
