Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pain related to muscle or other soft tissue injury can increase slowly, reaching its maximum 2 to 3 days after the offending event, in some cases.

Ibuprofen is a good medication for pain. If your current dose is not helpful, you may need to consider increasing it.
The maximum possible dose for pain in adults is up to 3200 mg in a day, this means that potentially you can use 800 mg every 6 hours.

Another option is to use an alternative pain killer to see if you have a better effect eg naproxen or voltaren or cataflam.

Warm compress to the area would help to relax the muscles, this can be applied for 10 to 15 mins, 2 to 3 times daily.

If there is no improvement, you may need a muscle relaxant to be added to your current regimen eg XXXXXXX valium, robaxin. These are some examples.

I hope this helps , feel free to ask any other questions
