Brief Answer:
May be related

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is difficult to relate this isolated symptom with the existing kidney failure. But there may be relation in cases.
Check for dry skin there which is common, check for redness on the area.
Apply Caladryl lotion over the area. If there is just dry skin apply petroleum jelly over the area. If there is an ulcer over the area it needs evaluation.

It is better to address this issue when you visit her doctor the next time.

There is no rash. We put lotion on dry skin. This is a painful, nerve pain that last 2-3 hours

Brief Answer:
Nerve pain is uncommon on abdomen unless herpes

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nerve pain over the abdominal wall is uncommon. I only see cases of herpetic pain at this age in my clinic. Did you try any over the counter pain killers like Piroxicam or Naprosyn for the pain? Since she is already in kidney failure she cannot be given pain killers easily. Only counter irritants like Capsaicin cream be tried. Check for that in the nearby pharmacy. If not, you can check for a cream with ingredients such as menthol, methylsalicylate, and camphor.
However you can use hot packs for the pain that she has.
I suggest not to use any oral pain relievers unless your doctor advises.
