Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

The presence of night sweats and hot flushes at this age can be attributed to perimenopause, if you still happen to behaving your cycles. Though, your other symptoms may need neurological evaluation in view of the past history.

As far as the symptoms of menopause are concerned, you can try to get relief by simple remedies and if that is not possible, go for hormone replacement. Here are some techniques that are useful-
-please try wearing loose fitting preferably cotton clothing including undergarments
-please maintain a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere both at home and at work; the place should be cooler and well ventilated.
-increase intake of liquids, fresh fruits and vegetables
-practice breathing exercises in ten-minute spells, thrice a day along with meditation
-yoga and relaxation techniques help to improve concentration and relieve fatigue.

If you do not find help from these, please get help from your health care provider and plan further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.

Hello,

Thanks for writing back.

Firstly, let me apologize for not being able to answer you earlier as I had a network problem.

As far as the literature goes, no relation has been shown between the use of HRT and the occurrence of multiple myeloma. In fact, a study shows a reduced risk for the disease with estrogen therapy. I will give the link below for you to go through.

After a discussion with your consultant, you may go for HRT. You can also follow the simple remedies outlined above for additional help.

Hope your query has been answered. Please contact if you need any more information. I will be ready to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
