What Causes Nocturnal Seizure In Children?

Most common cause of seizures is idiopathic
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. In most cases epilepsy seizures occur idiopathically that is no specific cause is seen that causes seizures. In children if we consider aetiology apart from idiopathic causes then metabolic disturbances like hypocalcemia or some times febrile seizures are common causes of epilepsy. Genetic factors are also seen along with growth factors.
Environmental impact can be seen but rarely. In most cases seizures are seen without any specific reasons. With advancing age seizures remit in a lot of children. So remain assured with time seizures will reduce.
Thanks, I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts or if you need more clarifications.
Take care

Infact in both our families, no one has any such seizures or hereditary. Do you think we should take any more precautions or it is fine to continue the ways it is now.
Please describe the symptoms in detail.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Please if possible describe our child's symptoms in detail like how they appeared, how symptoms progressed, any history of fever at time of onset of symptoms, any loose motions during or before the symptoms.
Whether he/she underwent any investigations especially CT scan, MRI and EEG after seizures? What about his/her blood investigations?
In most cases with epilepsy symptoms reduce with time and childhood onset epilepsy respond to treatment. So no need to worry.
Please describe in detail so that I can comment with more confidence.
Thanks
