What Causes Nose Bleeding After Eating Mangoes?

Question: I have an personal observation, whenever I eat mangoes, I suffer from nose bleeding after few hours. Is there any allergic relation between this food habit of mine and my nose bleeding.?

Hello

Although it is your observation , but bleeding is unlikely to be due to an allergy.

Allergy is characterized by watery nasal discharge , sneezing and watering of eyes , bleeding is never a feature of allergy .

I would like you to meet your ent doctor , who will examine the site and cause of bleeding and guide you further.

It is advisable to meet the doctor during an episode of bleeding , so that he can identify the correct site.

There are various causes for nose bleed like increased blood pressure , blood disorders , infections , etc and all these have to be ruled out with a proper check up and investigations.

Please dont ignore this and meet you ent doctor as soon as possible.

If however I am being advised for cautery, which one do u suggest; electrical\ chemical ?

If i would advice, then i would go in for electrical cautery as it is more specific and safer with lesser side effects.
