What Causes Nose Bleeding And Irregular Periods?
My daughter is 17 years old. Three years ago she was diagnosed with Crohns; she has been on remicade for a two years now; recently( like 2 weeks ago) she show some symptoms like chest, back, shoulders sharp pain. Can't sleep thru the night. Nose bleeds every day; can't breath when walks; 3 times menstrual period Ina month; extremely tiered.
Drs performed all possible tests in her; gave her antibiotic 500mg for 5 days; told me she has mycroplasma bacteria but as I was reading her symptoms not even close to mycroplasma. Her pediatric dr told me he doesn't think it's a correct dignocis. I don't know what to do. I don't know how I can help her. She's in pain. We going back to her GI dr tomorrow for remicade infucian but I don't think I will let them do that. Please help me.
To rule out platelet dysfunction

Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Mycoplasma is a usually a histological or microbial diagnosis. In the absence of any proven evidence , the cause can't be attributed to Mycoplasma.
As she has bleeding tendency from nose and menses she will require hematological assessment. I would suggest the following
1. Complete blood count along with Peripheral smear examination
2. Coagulation profile
3. Platelet function test: Platelet dysfunction definitely needs to be considered and ruled out.
4. Endoscopy of nose and paranasal sinuses.
It would be very helpful if you could provide me detailed investigation done so far and detailed history. Awaiting your response
Take care
