What Causes Nose Bleeding While On Duolin Nebulization And Deriphyllin In A Teenager?

Question: Hi Doctor, my 17 year old son is asthmatic. Recently he had severe congestion and doctor gave him duolin nebulization along with Deriphiline tablets and antibiotic for 1 week. Since today he is having nose bleeds. Can he continue nebulization or can he take inhalers instead please advice. Also what are remedies for nose bleeding

I can understand your concern.
Better to take nebulization in acute condition. Once his breathlessness decreased, better to take inhaler for maintainance therapy.
So at present give him nebulization.
For nose bleeding, better to consult ENT doctor and get done clinical examination of nose.
Asthma can not cause nose bleeding.
He may need nasal packing. Oral antihistamine and anti allergic drugs combination is also indicated in his case.
