What Causes Nose Bleeds After A Cardiac Ion Ablation?
Stop xarelto, consult your doctor for change in anti coagulation strategy
Detailed Answer:
Hello I am Dr. Mody and I would be addressing your concern.
The nose bleed in all probability is not due to the procedure and in likelihood due to Xarelto which is an anti coagulant. I would request you to stop further dose and consult your doctor.
Xarelto is a newer anti coagulant and does not have an antidote yet so we can not afford a overdose.
Mostly your doctor will change the drug. Also, I would like to reassure you that though nasal bleed may be significant, you don't have to panic.
Still, prevention is always better in this case.
Hoping I could help, more history regarding the reason for being on xarelto and other facts would help me better.
Lastly let me know if any clarification or any further doubt.
