What Causes Numbness And Burning Sensation In Foot After An Injury?
Question: I HAVE A LARGE BRUISE ON MY RIGHT HIP CAUSED BY BUMPING INTO A HEAVY KITCHEN CHAIR ABOUT 7-10 DAYS AGO. NOW MY RIGHT FOOT IS NUMB WITH A BURNING SENSATION. COULD A BLOOD CLOT CAUSE SUCH A PROBLEM?
Brief Answer:
Yes. It can be due to hematoma.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A large bruise is due to a hematoma inside the hip. The hematoma can cause a pressure on the nerves causing the numbness and burning sensation.
This will gradually improve on its own as the bruise gradually resolves. There is no need to worry. You can add methylcobalamin supplements or Vitamin B complex daily to your diet.
I hope this answers your query.
