Brief Answer:
Can be a nerve root compression.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Numbness and loss of muscle strength in the hands can be due to a nerve root compression at the level of cervical spine due to a bulging disc or due to decreased blood circulation. This needs a direct examination and few investigations under the guidance of a neurologist to find the exact cause.
I hope this answers your query.
