default
Posted on Fri, 17 Jun 2016
Question: For the last 6 months I am facing numbness in my R leg below knees, specially when i use XXXXXXX toilet and get up.It pains and numbness felt which goes off after taking 3~4 steps.
Also I am facing pain on the top end of R and L leg , near back side of both hips. Not sure if it is linked with numbness mentioned above or not.
I thought it is an ortho problem and I consulted with an orthopedic but he told me that it is Neuro related problem.
Pain on L top side of leg near hips is felt increasing for the last 2~3 days.

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised and visit a neurologist for examination

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
If these symptoms are of recent onset then possibility of lumbosacral radiculopathy with muscle spasm should be considered.
Is there any weakness, sensation loss or urinary complains associated with this?
You should avoid stooping forward, squatting, sitting crossed leg and lifting heavy objects.
Take pain killers with muscle relaxant for some time.
Pregabalin with methylcobalamin can also be started.
Visit to a neurologist will help in deciding need for xray or Mri.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
