Brief Answer:
The changes by anesthesia are reversible.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.
Cataract surgery is done commonly by either instilling eye drops called as topical anesthesia or by injection around eye called as peribulbar anesthesia.
After anesthesia the surface of the eye becomes sensation less giving to a feeling of numbness and heaviness of the surrounding areas of the eye. All these are reversible and lasts for about 2-4 hours depending on the type of anesthetic drug used.
Hence no need to worry any change caused by the anesthesia is reversible.
Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
