What Causes Numbness In Feet While Pulse Rate Is Strong In Feet?

Question: I have numbness in my feet. I have spoken to my cardiologist and my internist about this and both did not think it was anything to be concerned about. But it concerns me. I am a 72-year-old male. The cardiologist checked my pulse rate in both feet and said it was strong.
Brief Answer:
You may be having neuropathy
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. You are most probably having neuropathy. It can be caused by serum B 12 deficiency or calcium deficiency. It is very common in old age and diabetic patients. I would recommend you to check your B 12 and vitamin D level. If there is deficiency then you need to take methyl cobal and vitamin D 3 daily.
it is not a serious issue. It will be cured in few weeks.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions .
Thanks

My internist drew blood and checked my B12. It is normal. We did not discuss Vitamin D. I am not diabetic. Thank you for your assistance.
As I stated: The internist checked B12 and it was normal. Could numbness be due to poor circulation? No one has mentioned Vitamin D except you. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
poor circulation can cause this problem
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
vitamin D Deficiency can cause such symptoms. And yes poor circulation can also cause of altered sensation but this is very rare. So I would recommend you to get your neurological examination done.
Tablet pregabalin and methylcobal can cure tingling which is idiopathic . Idiopathic is one where no cause can be find out.
thanks.
