What Causes Numbness In Right Arm And Pain In Neck?
Neurological exam required to rule out a deficit
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
The right arm numbness could be related to the neck pain on the same side as the nerve roots/trunks to the upper limb arise in that very region as part of the brachial plexus. Having said that, one should always rule out a stroke with such a presentation. A neurological exam should be done in the stroke unit/ E.R near you, to look for any facial drooping/asymmetry , any new slurring or impediment in speech , arm weakness /numbness. If such signs are present in any combination indicating focal neurological deficit then blood pressure , blood sugar should be checked and a CT scan should be advised. If none of the above are found on the physical then NSAIDs, muscle relaxants, B 12 supplements along with reassurance is all that would be needed.
Please consult your doctor before deciding on any further course of action
