What Causes Numbness In The Abdominal Area During 36th Week Of Pregnancy?

Question: hello doctor

m nearing my 9th month of pregnancy. recently im developing some numbness around the stomach area. when i touch i dont feel any senses. also m not able to sleep at all from 2 days and swelling around my hand fingers n feet. m able to notice the baby movements though.

please advise.

In my opinion you should visit your gynaecologist for examination as swelling should not be taken lightly.
In general it is common to have swelling in late pregnancy and the numbness around umbilical region is also common
But still it's better to walk safe in pregnancy and get evaluated early for even small complaints

thank you doctor. also at times i feel a pinch kind of sensation kind of push near my vagina.. i get worried if its triggering of labour.. i had vaginal stiches in my 6th month which is not yet removed.. is this sensation because of those stiches?

Yes dear in case you are having such sensations then it is mandatory for you to visit your gynaecologist at the earliest.
These stitches tend to give away at times so try to take an early appointment and take rest
