What Causes Numbness In Toes And Hands?
Question: I have a numbness in my little toe and the one next to it on my left foot. Also, if I am on the phone and holding the phone for awhile causes my right hand to become numb over several minutes of holding it. What causes this?
Brief Answer:
Nerve compression and impaired blood supply.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Numbness in your toes is more probably caused by local nerve compression.
Simple measures such changing your shoes ( loose and more soft ones ) should improve this problem.
Numbness related to hand and arm position instead is more likely to be caused by impaired blood supply ( arterial narrowing or venous incompetency ) due to certain positions.
Switching hands often during phone call should prevent this from happening.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
