I am extremely concerned about this, as I've noticed my hands and feet have random tingling sensations, which started 2 weeks ago.
Looks like pinched nerve.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Looks like pinched nerve or neuropathy.A compressed or pinched nerve in lower back can present with such numbness in the region. But generally this is associated with lower back pain as well.Since you have tingling in limbs , other possibility that comes to mind is peripheral neuropathy.
Peripheral neuropathy often causes numbness and pain in your hands and feet. People typically describe the pain of peripheral neuropathy as tingling or burning, and loss of sensation .Peripheral neuropathy is caused by nerve damage. It can result from such problems as traumatic injuries, infections, metabolic problems, medications and exposure to toxins.
In many cases, peripheral neuropathy symptoms improve with time - especially if it's caused by an underlying condition that can be treated.
I think you should consider seeing a doctor who on clinical examination can confirm the diagnosis. The doctor may want you to do tests like blood sugar levels, thyroid function tests, liver/kidney function tests. A nerve conduction study can also be of great help. Treatment is usually directed towards the likely cause.
Please ask if i have left any of your query unanswered or if there are any doubts.
