Posted on Tue, 21 Jun 2016
Question: Hello ive been losing weight however along with diet and exercise i have been taking this stuff called thermo blitz. Its thermogenc. Tonight i felt parts of my body go numb. I cannot seem to even hold down water. Im trying to sleep it off however only slept one hour. I dont know if im having like an alergic reaction or what. My private are also feels tingly and numb. I know this stuff has loads of caffine and vitaimn b12. Along with numerous other things. What should i do. As i stated i cant seem to hold down any food or liquid. My leg also feel tingly like there going numb. Will my body fight this off? I dont think its a testosterone issue cause i dont think parts of my body other than my private area would feel like jello going numb. I was feeling fine until i took this supplement tonight. Even worked out earlier in the day and went to the pool. Is the reason im throwing up because my body is trying to get rid of this stuff. Obviously i will not be taking this supplement or any others here on out. As well as i will probably go see a doctor in the morning? What do you think this is?

Welcome and sorry for the delay

Detailed Answer:
I accidentally closed your window researching your question.

Go to the doctor immediately and tell him you have been exposed to several herbs that could potentially induce serious heart and neurological problems.

All of these ingredients in singular are potentially dangerous and taken together, possibly lethal. This drug needs to be reported to FDA.

These are the ingredients, please take them with you to the doctor asap, perhaps to the emergency department if any heart symptoms present.

Ephedra (heavy stimulant to heart, restricted us in US over the counter)
White Willow (aspirin)
Forskolii (another weight loss drug with stimulant properties)
Citrus Aurantium (another stimulant-". Many companies are now substituting Citrus aurantium for ephedra in their formulations. Citrus aurantium, an agent containing beta agonists, has been reported to aid in weight loss in two studies and increase thermogenesis, at least to some extent, in three studies. Colker et al. (1999) reported that in a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study the subjects receiving a combination of Citrus aurantium, caffeine and St John's Wort, lost significant amounts of total body weight while on a strict diet and exercise. " excerpt from a study. Also known as Bitter Orange.

L Carnitine
Green Coffee (potent stimulant)
Rasperry Ketones
Yerba mate (anyone for a gallon of coffee?)
Synephrine ( should only be used by itself under a clinicians supervision on a temporary basis to break a weight plateau)
Guarna ( another stimulant similar to coffee)
1,3 Dimethylamine("Due to its structural similarity to amphetamines, it gives a false positive in drug tested competitions for amphetamines and thus should not be used by competing athletes." and is not highly studied in isolation)

The combination as I see it may definitely, now that I see it has dimethyamine in it I now believe this pill is responsible for the neurological events.

Please - never take anything without checking with a qualified professional like myself. It may take me a couple of visits to figure things out, but I will help regardless. Please see your doctor asap; he will probably administer benzodiazepines, check your heart with an EKG, do stat lab work and have a neurologist look at you. Take this list although many doctors are not familiar with the herbs they will recognize the other stimulants.

My best of luck to you and I will not take up any more of your time. Please, calm down as much as possible, get a driver if you can and go directly to your doctors or the ER.

Respectfully, Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN

Brief Answer:
But, it also has all these other dangerous chemicals in combination

Detailed Answer:
There is also, according to the website, Naringin in it which has potential for drug drug interactions.

It also has DMAA in it in not clearly stated and that was banned by the FDA due to liver failures and cardiac toxicity. DMAA is in the 1,3, Dimethyamine.

So, what did the doctor say and how are you feeling now? I was very concerned about you. The 1000 mg of caffeine was certainly a problem, but nothing was said about the other ingredients by your doctor?

I hope I have helped you. If you have any more comments, or clarifications feel free to contact me. If you are satisfied, please close out the question and rate it. Come back anytime. Regards, Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN

Very sorry there was a list if other ingredients basically vitiams and greenleaf. However she said it contained b12 and b6 which your body needs but to much can be harmful to your liver and etc. she put a big infesis on how much caffine that is she said its like having 15 cups of coffe thats why i feel tingly and numb. She said it could be 24-48 hours before it fully wears off. Simply because of the amount that entered my blood strem. Which i guess is why i was throwing up it was my body trying to get rid of it

Thank you for your reply

Detailed Answer:
You don't need to waste an answer for me, but the ingredients I listed were right off the website for the product you identified, Thermoblitz.

Are you saying the ingredients on your bottle do not match what I gave you? I am a bit confused.

Too much B6 can cause neurological side-effects, she is correct. And the caffeine is a real problem because an average cup of coffee has 95 mg of caffeine in it although there is a wide range depending on blend and brew. The directions on the bottle say after day 4 you can add another cap (doubling your caffeine) and then go up to as much as 3 per day. Yes, definitely the caffeine was a problem.

However, if the name of your product is Thermoblitz and it doesn't list the other ingredients I gave you, I am not certain what happened.

I am so very happy you are alright. Dr. XXXXXXX warned you not to take a fad approach. He is a very good doctor. We are here to help you. Please remember that and don't be afraid to check in providing all the information you can about a situation when you are concerned about a health problem.

Detailed Answer:
Please, I highly suggest you do two things for the sake of the health of others:

1. Report this supplement to the FDA
2. Report this supplement to the BBB in the state that is responsible for its production.

I am so happy you are alright.

Oh, please remember to close the question out and rate it. I apologize for any typos, your query came in at 6 am before I had MY caffeine! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and keep up the good work and commitment to your weight loss and exercise program..,

Yours in Good Health, XXXXXXX
