What Causes Occasional Cold Sores In Mouth, Testicular Itching And Bumps?

Question: After a brief sexual encounter with another man I have developed an itchyness in my scrotum and a couple of raised bumps have developed as well on my testicles. They are not blistering or ulceration as they would in a herpes episode, as I have HSV-1 and occasionally get cold sores on my mouth. There are no discharge symptom & no other lesions have arisen. Is there anyway this is HSV-2? I can provide photos if needed.
