What Causes Occasional Severe Pain Around Rectum?
Question: I occasionally get severe pain around the rectum, but the colonoscopy has shown nothing, this pain is intense for several minutes then goes away

If the pain is very severe and intolerable ,then it could be small internal hemorrhoids some time the colonoscopist might not have seen kinely .But nothing to worry there are few simple home remedy which you can follow ,so that you will be symptom free.
Avoid spicy food
Don't strain during defecation.
Have lot of fibre content food and vegetables.
Seitz bath twice a day (take loop warm water add betadine or little salt into it pore the water in a small tub in which you can sit do it atleast twice a day)
