What Causes Occasional Soreness On The Upper Inside Area Of Thigh?

Question: hello, I have occasional soreness on the upper inside area of my thigh's; and occasionally have discomfort when urinating ; is this an infection? and if so, what do i need to do?
Brief Answer:
Intertrigo and Prostate enlargement/UTI
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thank you for your query.
The soreness you have in the upper thigh is intertrigo. It usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore. It occurs more often among overweight individuals and those with diabetes. It is often due to candiasis and will require topical and sometimes oral antifungal. I can confirm it if you could upload a picture.
The other problem of discomfort while urinating at your age is likely to be due to an enlarged prostate and/or urinary infection. You should have a urine examination and an ultrasound examination. The treatment depends on the cause.
Take care

Well, I have no redness, it is not raw looking, and no itching or oozing; do you still maintain your previous answer? Thank you Doctor
Brief Answer:
May be from friction
Detailed Answer:
Then it may be just from friction especially if you wear tight underclothes.
Simple lotions would be sufficient for that, in addition to avoiding the causative factors if possible.
If it does not respond, keep candidiasis also in the differential.
You are welcome.
Wish you good health.
