Question: I am suffering from loose brown coloured stools for four years. I have taken ciplox tz , metrogyl. Please advise.

Let me assure you that brownish colour of stool is not a cause of concern. It is very unlikely that you are suffering from some infection since an infection is unlikely to last this long. What is more likely is that you are perhaps suffering from malabsorption. In that case, the unabsorbed food matter can get degraded by bacteria leading to loose stools.
I would insist you to get a routine microscopy of stool done. Also check for occult blood in stool Please upload the reports using the facility on the upper right of this page. Based on those I will definitely try to help you out.
