Brief Answer:
This reflects T cell abnormal functions.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Other than HIV infection, low CD4/CD8 ratio is seen with Thymoma (tumour of thymus gland) and some of the autoimmune diseases.
CD4 and CD8 cells are actually T cells produced by thymus gland.
So any abnormality in thymus gland causes fluctuations in CD4 and CD8 levels.
Slight abnormality in ratio is not worrisome.
So please let me know
1. What are your exact CD4 and CD8 values?
2. Have you ever screened for connective tissue diseases?
3. What are your symptoms?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.

I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Just uploaded the cd4/cd8 result

I measured by dividing the result of CD4 by the result of CD8

CD4- 35.8%
Over
CD8- 39.8%

Which equals = .9

While normal results should equal = 2

Symptoms are:

Migraines, fatigue , IBS and anxiety

Brief Answer:
Get done connective tissue screening.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Your symptoms are more suggestive of stress and anxiety.
I don't think they are due to low CD4 /CD8 ratio.
So no need to worry much for this low ratio.
Get done connective tissue screening, ANA (anti nuclear antibody) titer.
If this titer is normal then no need to worry much.
Have you ever undergone ANA level?

I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
You should definitely consult psychiatrist now.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

In my opinion, you should definitely consult the Psychiatrist at this outset.
Try to reduce stress at the workplace.

Start prophylactic migraine treatment in the form of Propranolol and flunarizine combination at night time.
This will definitely help you.

No need to worry about low CD4 /CD8 ratio.
And your recurrent cold and flu are mostly due to viral infection.
Take annual (once a year) influenza vaccine.
