What Causes One-sided Headaches, Blocked Nose And Pressure In Ears?
Tuesday night - blood vessel busted in my right eye. Redness went away next day.
Wednesday night - had a throbbing feeling in the middle back left hand side of head. The pain was dull but sharp.
Thursday - neck was a little stiff and pain in my head would worsens when I tured my head to the right.
Friday- no pain but sinus was clogged, ears felt like I had been on a plane (popping feeling - thus was relieved by sinus wash cleaning)
Today - throbbing has now moved to the top middle of my head and is more consistant. I feel a little nauseous but it could be my nerves as I am worried about my headache. My ears also feel clogged. The pain moves from the middle to the front of my head and is dull but throbbing.
earlier this year (march) I had and issues with double vision . I went to ER and had an MRI performed. All test were negative with no issues.
I do have a history of mild anxiety. I am not sure if this is a tension headache or due to sinuses. I do not have a history of headache and other than what is described above I feel fine.
thanks
needs futher investigations
Detailed Answer:
dear,
as I can figure here, you have intense sharp throbbing headache, redness of eye, sinus pain, and a history of double vision, you are also prescribed anti hypertensive meds.
there are few differential diagnosis that needs further detailed history and investigations.
I suggest an MRI brain- as subarachnoid aneurysm can have similar presentation, chances are more with underlying anti hypertension, a life threatening condition. More likely if associated with intense headache and vomiting and dizziness.
Eye examination- glaucoma can have similar presentation, as there is a history of eye redning, I need to know of anyone from family has a history of smilar at kind.
again we need to rule it any complicated myopia that could predispose to retinal detachment, as you have had a compliant of double vision. an ophthalmologist consultation is required.
a possibility of migraine is there, however we first need to rule out the Obove more serious causes.
kindly follow up with the investigations.
thank you
