What Causes Orange Colored, Foul Smelling Vaginal Discharge?
Question: Orange foul smelling vaginal discharge. Have had it for a few days and am supposed to start period soon. Any help?
Brief Answer:
vaginal pessary clotrimazole and antifungal tablets.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
I can understand your concerns,
Foul smelling vaginal discharge suggests vagina infection.
I suggest you to take vaginal pessary clotrimazole for 6 nights and tablet fluconazole 150mg once weekly for 3 weeks. Please note that these are prescription drugs.
If symptoms persist, you should consult your Gynecologist for pelvic examination and should go for vaginal discharge testing.
Hope it helps,
Feel free to ask further.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for your response. I just started my period today and have not had the orange discharge last month right before I started. Is this just something I should contribute to starting or should I go see my obgyn?

Brief Answer:
can not be attributed to periods.
Detailed Answer:
You are most welcome.
Any discharge which is foul smelling should be suspected because of infection.
Before, there may whitish discharge but no foul smell.
I do not think this can be attributed to your periods.
I would suggest you to consult your obgyn and discuss this.
I always available for further discussion.
Take care.
Thanks.
