What Causes Orange Oil Like Substance During Defecation?
Question: What causes orange oil like substance when passing stool? This has occurred over the last two days. Slight abdominal fullness, no pain. Normal stool otherwise. I have had a lot of recent stress.
To be more specific - orange oil like substance rises to top of water with bowel movement.

I have reviewed this information fully and in most cases this represents poor fats digestion that could occur during stressful periods. We would only investigate this if it persists as most of the symptoms resolve spontaneously without the need of medical treatment or intervention.

Thank you. I've read a lot that it could be pancreatitis or chronic pancreatitis. Is the lack of severe pain your reason for not thinking it could be that? I'd much rather believe it is just a temporary issue due to stress. I just can't help looking online and it tells a different thing.

There is nothing else to suggest that it could be related to a pancreatic disorder. This is even more so because of the acute nature and absence of pains to raise that suspicion.
