What Causes Pain And Difficulty While Raising A Leg?
Question: what would cause difficulty and pain when raising a leg enough to get under steering wheel and into driver seat of an automobile
Brief Answer:
Nerve pain
Detailed Answer:
good evening..
thank you for writing on health care magic
Well the sort of pain you are describing does look like nerve compression...the origin does lie in your lower back or hips.. But yes one needs to examine you to be sure about it, it so accordingly we can. plan a scan that is which site...
I would suggest you do a simple test at home and let me know the result of it... Straight leg raising.. Lie down on your bed on your back, and raise the affected leg straight.. if you feel the pain shooting down to your back thigh, we will know the result...
Do let me know.. if negative will look for some other source

could raise left leg to vertical (90 degree) position with only modest effort and no sharp pain.
With the most force I could exert could lift right leg only enough to raise the foot/ankle 5 or 6 inches above the bed. But no sharp pain anywhere in the thigh/leg.
What does this suggest as a couse?

Good evening
Sorry for the late reply.. My daughter was unwell, so got caught up in it...
Well, with this test at least we rule out any nerve compression from the back or the hips at least. The only other place which can cause such symptoms are the knees. I would like to ask you a few more questions related to it...
1. Do you face difficulty in climbing stairs
2. any pain in legs on getting up from sitting position??
3. do you face discomfort on going for squatting position or coming back from it??
4. Any stiffness in the knees in the morning...??
Do let me know these queries. I strongly feel we are looking at Osteoarthritis of th knees...
Await your reply
