Brief answer...given below Detailed answer... Hello, Thanks for the query. you are right in thinking that this is a heart condition. Your symptoms clearly are pointing towards angina. This is also substantiated by the fact that you had positive TMT 5 years back with  partial blockages. Longterm diabetes also results in developing more plaques. You need to consult a cardiologist and get an angiogram done again, which shall reveal the blockage percentage. After angiogram, your cardiologist shall decide about the angioplasty or by pass surgery. I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query. Best of luck Thanks

Thank you very much doctor. As suggested by you I would consult a cardiologist. I would also like to mention that I have cystocele for the last 2 yrs. Uner this condition is it advisable to take up TMT if suggested by the cardiologist. Secondly, is it necessary for me to consult the cardiologist right now or can I wait for some more time, as it is only few months now since I have developed this choking feeling. Thanks

Hello, I will answer your query one by one. 1st...a patient with cystocele is advised not to lift heavy weights specially over 10 kgs, however there is no harm in walking and doing treadmill exercises and test. 2nd...it is better to consult the cardiologist as early as possible because there is always a danger of a XXXXXXX heart attack, since you already have blocked vessels. Thanks

Hello doc, I have fixed up appointment with the cardiologist for Monday. Thanks for your guidance. One last question doc. Since last one year or so, the body. Mass around my face, neck shoulder specially and all over my body has reduced drastically. I don't think that at this age itself so much reduction is seen. Could you please advise me on this. Thanks

Hello, The reason for loss of weight can be because of two reasons. 1st....uncontrolled diabetes 2nd....one definitely expects some loss of weight and mass as one gets older. Moreover, you should see that whether your BMI is in correct range or not. if your BMI is in normal range, then There is nothing to worry and you need not do any thing. Some loss of weight is good in diabetics,as it helps in reducing insulin resistance and which in turn helps in better management of blood sugar levels. Thanks
