Brief Answer:
Need to be physically examined at the earliest

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Almost all head injuries need to be reported to a medical personnel for evaluation, as many of these injuries can at times present in an asymptomatic manner and later result in serious and sometime even fatal consequences.

As you have mentioned a change in the structure of your head, it could be possible that you have suffered not just muscular but also skeletal damage. This kind of damage to the head is not good news, and exposes (makes vulnerable) your brain to further injuries. Please report to an ER or a doctor for further evaluation ma'am, as I would like to rule out the worst before taking this further.

The numbness could be due to inflammation, but it can also indicate a possible vascular injury to the region, which again in that particular region is not safe.

As for the duration for which you will continue to feel this way, that can be ascertained only after a physical examination. Please never take any head injuries lightly.

I hope you can find the time to report to a doctor at the earliest. I also hope you find my response helpful, please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always available to help.

Best wishes.
