I had my gallbladder taken out 3 years ago and that is when the pain started. I've been to a million doctors and nothing seems to help. One doctor thinks part of it is nerve damage, but the pain gets worse over the years. Yes the pain is consistent all the time. Sometimes I get relief when I lay in bed, other times it's still there. It makes my life hell. I'm more sick to my stomach lately, but I have not gotten sick. No indigestion that I know of. This increased pain and pressure started after I had 2ft of my bowel removed 2 months ago.
Brief Answer:
It can be a surgical complication
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Usually after removing gall bladder there is no pain. it can be due to entrapped nerve or some time due to fibrosis. It is good that you are planning to get a CT scan.I would also suggest you to get liver function test to see if there is no problem in liver.
I would also suggest you to get ultrasound examination. This will tell us if there is any bowel obstruction is also present? I would recommend you to avoid fatty diet.
Tablet Liv 52 is also helpful for liver strengthening. You can share your reports with me. I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks

What can they do about an entrapped nerve? Is it possible to have another obstruction so soon? What kind of doctor do I need to see for that besides a gi?
Brief Answer:
It might need a repeat surgery
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If these investigation shows that it is a entrapped nerve then you might need a re exploration of the surgical field. This surgery will take care of the entrapped nerve or fibrous tissue.
A repeat obstruction can form in 2 months.
For these problem a gastroenterologist would be a best doctor.
thanks.
