Question: I am 44 in a monogamous married and have phimosis having redness and pain on urination. Started feeling some ir44ration 2 days ago, no it really hurts, using jock itch cream

Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have irritation, pain and redness of foreskin and unable to retract foreskin over glans penis .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem
1) Are you diabetic?

All the symptoms that you have strongly suggest infection of the foreskin mostly due to Genital Candidiasis .

Please get your blood sugar levels on empty stomach and 2 hours after lunch done to rule out/confirm diabetes .

Take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily and anti fungal medication like Fluconazole twice daily along with topical anti fungal cream like Candid cream for local application .

If sugar levels confirm you to be diabetic you will need to consult qualified Diabetologist for proper treatment of diabetes .

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.
