What Causes Pain And Swelling In Left Testicle?
Question: I have pain in my left testical. But it's not the actual testical but the part attached to it. It feels swollen. I have not been hit in the area and has been hurting for about a week.
Brief Answer:
epididymitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It sounds like you may have epididymitis. This is an inflammation or infection of the epididymus a piece of tissue that is attached to the testicle.
You shouuld see a doctor for an exam.
You will probably need antibiotics to get rid of this.
it is common and may be caused by sexually transmitted or other infectious agents.
Antibiotics usually take care of it.
if the pain is severe, there is a risk of testicular torsion, a twisting of the testicle, but that pain is quite severe and you would need to go to the doctor right away if you have a severe pain.
I hope you can see a doctor soon,
