What Causes Pain And Tightness In Right Thigh Muscle When Diagnosed With Myopathy?
Please provide more details, reports
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The symptoms of lower limb involvement at this age is commonly due to degenerative disc.
The involvement of thigh region suggest pathology at L2-3 level. Other possibility may be lumbosacral plexopathy.
Myopathy is usually symmetrical and involves proximally with first noticed difficulty in getting up from squatting position.
In suspected myopathy, metabolic profile should be done to search for correctable causes.
Investigation like CPK-MM, vitamin D, calcium, phosphate, Thyroid profile, renal and liver function test with blood sugar is necessary.

Hello,
Sciatic nerve involvement will be at spine or around hip region.
If Mri is showing no abnormalities or compression then possibility of sciatic involvement is less likely.
Any complaint related to hip joint?
Pain modulator drugs like pregabalin or amitryptiline may help.
Nutrional supplementation if vitamin D deficiency or calcium deficiency is found.
