What Causes Pain And Urine Leakage During Intercourse After SUI Repair?
Sadly not a 100% successful surgery, which happens quite often
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. I understand how you would have gone ahead with surgery and all that your doctor has advised primarily to control things like recurrent infections, urinary incontinence, etc.
But sometimes surgery is not a 100 % successful, and this can result in a few complications like the ones you are experiencing. One of the side effects of the surgery itself are a neuro-muscular abnormalities that itself can lead to difficulties during intercourse like pain, urinary leakage, etc. This is sad and unfortunate, and some surgeons choose to re-operate and some surgeons accept this to be a sad side effect the patient may have to live with.
I am sorry to learn about your experience and the only thing I can advise is to re-visit your surgeon and discuss the complication and possibilities for complete relief with him/her. As I mentioned ma'am, either surgery once again or learning to live with it. :(
Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
