Question: My left leg feels heavy and there is pain in the lower part oh my leg and is now causing weakness in the leg what could the problem be.

Problem only in the left leg indicates that the problem in Neurological.

It could be due to either compression of nerve supplying sensation and power to left leg at the level of your lower back or it could be a stroke.

I advise you to consult a Neurologist as certain examination will reveal which among these is causing you the weakness . If its nerve compression you require a MRI Lumbar spine and if its stroke you require MRI brain .

Treatment depends on the cause.
