What Causes Pain Around Eyes After Treatment Of Diabetes?

Question: I have diabetes for the past 1 Year,After treatement,I developed eye problem.Everymorning there is pain around eyes.consulted eye specialist and got informed that no problem in eyes and retina is clear..Couldnot see th distant object long time ,eye get strain.after break fast ,some sonse of vision fluctuating ,no clear vision.after walking with jogging there is a clear eye.also my hand nerve problem get solved with jogging extensively,but comes next morning while wake up.Im drinking alchohol weekly once 180mland some times beer 1bottle on saturadys.Please suggest is it due to diabetes or any other problem.I think these sysmptoms are too early with 1 year of diabetes

Thanks for your query.

Based on you symptoms you described above I suspect you to have Asthenopia. This is a condition resulting from stain in the eye causing blurring and pain in around the eyes. This is not a serious condition and can be cured with Atropine drops in the night.

Do discuss with your Opthalmologist about the same and get the medication prescribed.
