Appendicitis should be confirmed or ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/46 - premenopausal - sharp stabbing pain around belly button and right lower abdomen - laxatives helped slightly as the pain returns with greater intensity - 3 days -

Please give additional information for me to assist you better:
- Any associated nausea, vomiting, bloating, constipation or loose stools?
- Any general symptoms of fever, malaise or others.

Since the pain is present for the last 3 days I would advise you the following:
There must be a reason for the pains, hence should be found out by the following:
Clinical evaluation by a Doctor, preferably a General Surgeon.
Ultrasound and preferably Contrast enhanced CT scan of abdomen helps getting the correct diagnosis.
Tests of blood, urine and stool helps further.

Pain around belly button and lower right side of abdomen can be due to appendicitis, Lymph nodes, colitis, or right sided gyne problems related tube and ovaries.
Hence needs to be well diagnosed.
I hope, this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis and a plan for proper management.
