Hi
Thanks for your query. Though you have not mentioned in this query regarding what exactly are you worried about, from your other queries I guess this is about esophageal cancer.
Yes, esophageal or stomach cancers evolve from a premalignant state to cancer over many years. Hence if the endoscopy was normal 18 months ago then having an esophageal cancer developing now will be extremely unusual.
Also, the presenting symptom of early stage esophageal cancer is not pain but difficulty in swallowing. Hence I don't feel you should be worried about esophageal cancer. Chest pain behind bone is commonly because of some musculoskeletal problem which should be considered first.
Hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer further followup queries, if any.
Regards

It takes much longer to start forming?
It's a burning in my upper throat and esophogus is the pain I experience now
It's not difficult swallowing but esophogus tends to burn when swallowing
And is many years a couple years or 5-10?
yes more like in 5-10 years
Detailed Answer:
burning sensation in upper throat and esophagus is probably more likely to be gastroesophageal reflux. A trial of H2 blockers or proton pump inhibitor group of drugs may be justified before further evaluation with repeat endoscopy.
Regards.
