What Causes Pain Behind Right Ear, Stiff Sore Neck And Numbness Above Ear?
Infective process evidence should be looked for on physical exam
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Based on your description, its evident that there is marked inflammation related to the ear on the right side. Whether its an infective cause needs to be determined upon examination of the middle ear and tympanic membrane. The adjoining lymph nodes and mastoid process also needs to be examined. Antibiotics can be initiated along with NSAIDs to adequately cover any bacterial infection. If the examination reveals no evidence of bacterial infection such as a bulging tympanic membrane or purulent ear discharge then Tylenol or ibuprofen can be continued and additional decongestants , antihistamines can be prescribed to counter the inflammation. Please consult an ENT doctor for further management in this regard.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
