What Causes Pain Between Lower Right Rib And Abdomen After Having Food?
Question: Hi, Greetings !!
This question is related pain between lower right rib & stomach after having food.
My wife aged 42, with slim body structure weight 48, height 5'1'' is facing this pain for last five years. We have done Ultra sound to identify the issue the diagnosis is as follows : "Cholesterosis with small gall bladder calculus, Multiple hyperchoic area are seen attached to gall bladder wall suggestive of cholesterosis and hyperchoic area measuring 5mm diameter seen in gall bladder suggestive of calculus. there is no evidence of pericholecystic fluid."
We did follow up endoscopy to find any other reason of pain other than above but everything looks fine.
We are very keen on saving gall bladder and get rid of pain at same time.
The pain is bearable and reduces after taking digestive things like souf or hingoli etc in an hour or two.
Can you please advice if it can be done ?
Thanks & Regards

Brief Answer:
Better Get Gall bladder removed
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in
It is advisable you go for gall bladder removal.
A 5 mm calculus can at any stage cause obstructive jaundice.
The symptoms will be relieved and she will be better off with chances of obstructive jaundice gone.
Anyway medical management includes Oral bile salt therapy, proton pump inhibitors, Antispasmodics for pain as and when needed.
ESWL has some results but not very advisable in your case.
Hope this helps
